From early December 2025, RFR no longer offers LinkedIn profile-writing services to any Clients: sharing usernames and passwords is considered a breach of LinkedIn’s Terms and Conditions. The previous type of service delivery involving this sharing of personal data is a risk we are no longer willing to take. Clients who share their login data with third parties may have their LinkedIn profile deleted if any credential-sharing breaches are discovered.
Generally, sharing your LinkedIn credentials with any third parties is an extremely unsafe thing to do and could lead to your account suspension or internal security breaches if the process is not appropriately managed. It could potentially cause damage to your professional brand or that of your employer.
Instead, it is a good idea to use LinkedIn’s built-in administrative tools or third-party platforms to grant limited access to your profile to other users (if this is what is required by your organisation) without being in contravention of LinkedIn’s specific policies about credential data sharing.
As a safer option, for a straight fee to existing Clients ($60 GST Exclusive), we can give professional insights via email or phone into what may make any LinkedIn profile more appealing to recruiters, employers and other LinkedIn users when the Client is applying for jobs.
Most of the LinkedIn sections are fairly self-explanatory, with drop-down box choices to be made by the Client. This is often information that is not on a person’s resume, and this service can often be a waste of the Career Consultant’s time and effort, as well as that of the Client. Profiles on LinkedIn are usually written in the first person, compared to resumes, which are not. Some of the same career information could be used in both formats, but presented differently.
In extreme cases, where a Client has limited access to the necessary technological hardware to complete their profile or the ability to properly navigate the platform, a Word document may be created for the Client according to the RFR hourly rate. The Client will then need to cut and paste text from this Word document into the corresponding sections of their LinkedIn profile.
Video applications where screens can be viewed by both people may assist with this collaborative process. This service will be charged according to the hourly rate of $120 GST Exclusive at the end of the process.
At no time during the delivery of this service will RFR representatives accept personal login data from Clients to log into LinkedIn on their behalf.
The Client would be the person logged in to the video app during any remote sessions, sharing their screen with their Career Consultant, not the other way around, with the RFR representative being unable to make any profile changes themselves.
Over the years, many RFR Clients have been happy to receive constructive feedback from us about the usability and appearance of their LinkedIn profiles, with most people being capable of completing the work themselves.
The possibility of Clients losing access to their LinkedIn profiles is an unacceptable risk for us.
No matter where you are located in Australia, the Career Consultants at Resumes for Results can assist you via the most appropriate technological medium to enhance the usability and appearance of your professional LinkedIn profile without putting your profile at risk of deletion.
Our fees for all Career Services are specifically tailored to meet your individual requirements and will be charged at the RFR hourly rate. Having received a written quote from your chosen Career Consultant, it is up to you to accept that quote or to not proceed. The choice is yours.
